Late Afternoon at Trent Severn River

I just got back from the cottage on the river this pass weekend. I was able to get out a couple of times for some LM. Although, they are not trophy fish and I did successfully catch and release each one, they were a blast catching.

Three of the four fish were caught in a small bay off one of the channels of the river. The bay had an island right in the middle with a ton of sunken timber and good healthy growth of veg. and lilipads. I was throwing a top water plug and weedless frog.





The fourth was caught in deeper water (about 15') right at the mouth of a channel with a dive-to trolling back to the cottage.

Those are some good looking bass! Topwater, the most visually entertaining fishing technique out there.
