more?

Oh boy. Just Googled license renewal.
I just figured it had been going to old address. CT it is.

I don't why I'm making this an issue but I hate the new outdoors cards. The old ones had a nicely painted, majestic bass, now it is this tacky blue monstrosity. For how much the fees seem to be going up,can't we at least get a stylin' card? lol

Yes! I agree. Whose idea was is to change the beautiful old cards to the new ugly kiddy cards?

Not to mention, you have to carry around the yellow paper AND the card?? How can we live in 2015 and not combine the two? I dont get it, really frustrating and a step backwards from the old SINGLE piece of ID

i totally agree with you guys about these cards. the yellow slip is a total pain in the ass. i even question the purpose of even carrying the card in the first place is, if i have the yellow slip with my current license info????

bring our beloved bass card bass back, with an RDIF chip on it and be done with it.

i keep my license and that damn yellow slip in a zippie in a special corner of my chest pack. i always know where it is, and it keeps my butt out of the breeze, lol.

yellow slip is a temp permit. you get the card in the mail after 1 wk or 2. Why do you guys even make this a big deal? I renew my license asap. put the card on my wallet and fish on. I usually get check on license during trout & salmon runs anyways. Pulled my card twice this year and twice last year.

The way to avoid the yellow slip is to pay the three year fee at the time of card renewal. That's what I do.
At one time when you payed yearly they would add a sticker to back of card.

if you buy your license yearly, you have yellow slip with the year date on it, you need to provide both the card and the yellow slip to an mnr officer, or you can be charged at the discretion of the officer. its a crap system. with wireless tech the way it is, should be able to just scan your card on location and go from there.

the problem with the sticker system is with hunting, you get a single outdoors card, thats hunting and fishing combined, if you pay yearly, theres a fishing sticker, a deer sticker, a moose sticker, a small game sticker, a migratory game sticker, a turkey sticker....... you start to get the idea

Hmm, I have never had an issue with my combined hunting/fishing card with the applied stickers on the back. The only difference now is after you harvest an animal you must retain a portion of the tag to show you have an appropriate license for that game species if you are still hunting with someone that has a tag left. No big deal

just tape the yellow slip with the outdoors card...if you can re-tie in 3ft of running water with your rod & reel under your armpit...this is a walk in the park...

Oh boy I never have my card on me. I dont even know where my licnese is. My problem is that I never carry my wallet with me (its huge), and I change fishing bags frequently.

The only times Ive been checked was when I was ice fishing (was checked almost every weekend). Officer just called in my info to verify that I had my license. He also did this with my friend, but hers had expired (Like i warned her - they only last until the end of Dec. no matter when you purchased the card. She bought hers in sept and thought it was good for a whole year). $175 ticket. "Think of all the fishing gear we could have bought!".

First world problems - but hey, I liked the old cards too. I still have a bass and walleye one kickin' around stashed somewhere so I can remember the good old days when I'm 90 and still working.
