Hey guys, Just wanted to know the scoop on a line dancer? One of my buddy was trying to tell me about it but he didn't understand aswell! Wondering if you guys could help out. Thanks

No idea Mikey that's why i'm asking you. It does exsist! It's a clip that grabs your line when your reeling in your lure. It apparently makes it so your lure looks more realistic.

EDIT: Think I found it. Seems mighty impressive!

EDIT2: After taking a closer look, can't you just make that? To try out I mean.

It sure seems cool.

What is the secret behind that ?
Not much of a secret really. The spinning action of the Reel does most of the work. lol
I am sure someone with "superglue" skills can rig something up that works just as good or better.
Not that I would superglue anything to my rod.

What happens is, the line is under tension close to the reel and the reel wobbles causing the line in the water to bounce. The only problem is you have to have you drag tighter than normal, and when you catch a fish you have to remove the line from the clip. Other than that is is pretty cool and very easy to make.

ive seen the infomerical for that product and i dont know how good it works. the say if you use the " LINE DANCER" your top water will walk the dog just by reeling. Its a B/S add in that respect but hey maybe it does add extra action to crank baits i would not know i havent tried it. all i know is the ad is very cheap and they have a little kid saying " this is best present in the world" really cheesy.

i did it in 2 min from paper clip, used it for bass last summer, its good little thing, makes the lure more live.
can use it with spoons, spinnerbaits, crankbaits, plastics.

Any pics? For us not-so-imaginative folks on here.

Thanks osteo! I was tempted to order it until I saw your do-it-yourself demonstration. Awesome!

forgot to mention, but there is little thing you should do. file the very tip of it so when you hook the fish and remove the line from the clip there would be no sharp metal that can damage your line.
and be easy with the pliers, cause any time you hold the paper clip, pliers scratch the surface.
basic stuff, im sure you knew that.

Jeff, Maybe if we use shrink tube around the paper clip so we don't scratch the rod? I think I have some in the garage...
