Glen Haffy is stocked with rainbow trout. The difference between Glen Haffy and Heart Lake in terms of rainbow trout is that Glen Haffy is stocked every day and Heart Lake is stocked once per season. At Glen Haffy, you'll often see them dumping a barrel of trout into the pond while you're fishing.

There is also a fee to fish at Glen Haffy, but you don't need to rent a canoe as it's all shore fishing.

At Professors Lake, there is no fee to fish as it is not a Conservation area like the 2 aforementioned places. There is no boat rental that I'm aware of, but I haven't been there in many years so this may have changed.

okay thanks.

I was at Professors lake this past summer and no boat was allowed . Fishing was very slow when I was there but it was in the middle of a hot day

glen haffy is lots of fun

I would always keep more than I was allowed...I would go with my dad and his friend and sometimes grandma and we`d keep them for dinner lol

I can tell you that the fishing there is really tough during the summer, but when it opens they bite a lot of things. I would put some scent on a size 16 fly and still fish it or slowly retrieve it and they`d bite it. Good times.

Creekrunner, What did you catch at Glen Haffy? because I heard you can catch many rainbow trout there.

At Professors Lake, do you have to pay a fee to fish? Are there boat rentals there also?

Glen Haffy all rainbow trout. Although I wouldn't go back there because the two ponds that you fish out of are about 900sq. feet and everyone is sitting around in a circle throwing there line in. You can probably cast to the other side of the pond with a 12" rod. I'd rather go a little closer and go to Ken Whillans because there the water is really clear, there's some nice views and there is a variety of fish rather than just rainbows.

That being said - there were good size trout coming out of Glen Haffy.

Professors Lake was like $30 for two people last time I went (beginning of summer) and there was nobody working so couldn't even rent a boat or buy worms which is the whole reason we went. Couldn't get a refund either 'cause the money was dropped in an envelope. But ya I think it's like $40 for five hours or something for boat rentals.

Do you do anything that's within the fishing law? Lining...keeping over your limit, what's next?
