Hey guys so after catching my first few pike on Thursday I have been looking for a lake I can go to that holds pike and bass! If anyone knows of a small lake within 2 hours of Whitby that would be good for an inflatable boat with a trolling motor could anyone let me know? :) not looking for any spots or honey holes just a general lake or lakes that would be a good size for an inflatable within 2 hours! Thanks :)

Scugog comes to mind as a decent place for that, except it's mostly muskie and bass, which I'm sure you don't mind.

You could launch at Goreski's, Caesarea, or at the very ending of island road. Trolling along weed beds should get you muskie, and I would be targeting bays for bass.

Should also add Mitchell Lake, free launch right off county road 48. Trolling should get you muskie and pike in there and thus tigers also.

Mitchell has been in the back of my mind for some time now! Are the numbers of pike and size of pike growing there? Just curious because I know of the pike problems the kawarthas are having...

Does anyone know about the kawartha highlands? I don't have my license so I haven't been able to get up there

Hmmmm...

I've used this tool numerous times with great success.

Rice Lake is a good bet, no pike there but hey, the bass fishing is good.

I was just in Shark Lake in Kawartha Highlands. We were catching medium bass on every cast with a few bigger ones sprinkled in across the weekend (a few memorable ones!). No pike to be found though.

Reminds me I still gotta do a report on that.

that sounds like a great weekend! i'll definitely read up on that report :) and also keep that lake in mind

So I used that tool and I may have found a lake I wanna try! It is called Weeduck Lake near Huntsville if anyone knows of that? It is very very small with largemouth and smallmouth, as well as pike
