Hi, I am looking for a fishing buddy, I do both short (1-3 days) and long (1 week +) fishing trips. I am completely outfitted with all the gear (both camping and fishing) I am a fairly serious fisherman, but would be willing to teach or go with any level of angler. Race, age, color, sex does not matter. I live in Scarborough and fish all of Ontario and parts of Quebec and sometimes other provinces. I am currently planning a trip to northern Ontario (crown land).
I own a small boat, all the camp gear, (including trailer) and all the necessities to camp off grid. If you are interested in having a great time on the water, catching some trophy fish and camping in the true wild, then this is for you.
Thanks for taking the time to read this.

I am new here, perhaps this is more of a normal thing on here.

I think I would be uncomfortable with a person I DIDN'T know camping but being on a boat as well. I am not saying anything about you Gaurdian Angler. To the boards/Admin of the site is there a way to protect or selves from this kind of thing?

"protect ourselves" from what?? Meeting a like mind minded person to share experience and cost? I don't really understand your comment. I have met lots of friends that share the passion for outdoors this way. If you feel uncomfortable, then you need not respond, its that simple!

Oh, and in addition to my last response, I do not and don't expect anyone to meet and go on an extensive excursion right away, I would like to get to know them and I'm sure they would like to get to know me before any such trip takes place. There is no other agenda other than to find a friend who equally shares a love for the outdoors and to share in cost (gas etc.). I am a member of several fishing and outdoor related websites and there is usually even a section for this topic.I have posted a couple of examples but if you require more I would be glad to provide them for you.

Yea I hear you man, I completly see here you frustrations lie.

For someone like myself meeting someone for the first time, dry land and the shore is a must, I am all for meeting new people but I mean space is a definate control. Like I said in my inital post there was no intent to offend you here at all and I do apologize.

I am in for this trip but maybe just for the day!

its all good iJay, I really didn't take offense, but I did want to clarify my intentions. Like I said in the previous post, posting for fishing partners is a common practice on most fishing sites, I have actually gotten partners for tournaments this way and won a few over the years. That is where my frustration lies, is in finding someone who likes the outdoors like I do and is available, when I want to go (which is very frequent). I consider myself fortunate that I have a wife that allows me to go as much as I do. (could be her way of getting me out of the house as much as possible..lol)
If you want to meet up sometime for a day trip just let me know and we can figure out where and when.
