Was fishing an Eastern trib today (April 12) and a friend of mine left his tackle bag in the parking lot. By the time we remembered, it was gone. This was around 11am.

It had a box of hooks, flies, and other tackle. I'm sure he will provide a reward for getting his bag back. Hopefully the person who found it visits this forum.

Thanks.

thats unfortunate! hopefully he gets it back, but most likely he'll never see it again. I lost a full box of flies 3 years ago, never saw it again :(

That sucks :( I always fear to lose my tackle. Especially a box full of pike lures, which could easily run up to $300-400. When possible I try and pack only what I might need and leave bulk of the equipment at home. I also try and not leave any expensive gear in the car (even though my boots and waders will probably be in the trunk all summer lol)

Learning from this, I think it's a good idea to put contact information on your box/bag. There are good people around, they just don't have a way to contact each other.

pop-vlado, i've done the gear in the car thing before and i learned the hard way that (breathable) waders should be hung and dried to keep the material from delaminating and growing mold/mildew.

Always put your name on your gear, externally on bags and boxes. All my gear is marked, including my planos.
