If you treat your reel right it will last you for ever, Buy once Buy Right. You wouldn't buy a crappy house just because it's cheaper, because every time you cam home you would regret it.lol maybe i need to re-organize my priorities. Theres no worry of me losing interest in center pin fishing... im already hooked after 20 drifts and 1 fish
Desi, I am glad you like that Ikonix reel, so many good on line report on this reel. I hope everyone googled more info about it.
Here is one of many write up http://www.fishingmagic.com/shop/reviews/review_marco_cortesi_reel.html
I am still discussing with Dave on how to efficiently get it to canada. So far he change his mind on selling one after realizing shipping cost to North America cost 11 pound.
I looked for the reel in that review and it costs over $100 on ebay, could only find one seller.
I also tracked down the thread you posted before about the reel you bought, it didnt seem to spin for very long at all maybe 3 or 4 seconds.
That's one heck of a deal, let us know how it works.Well no need to lose sleep anymore...i found the deal of a lifetime. Okuma sheffield reel and 13.5 foot sheffield rod with hard case, line and backing on reel, only used 3 times they look brand new...for $175 on kijiji!!!!!!!!!
I would say the wait was worth it, the rod is rediculously long tho lol its gonna take some getting used to.
Are you sure it spun for a minute? I was just looking at the video u posted on photobucket.
