Went fishing with Tangledline on Friday Sept 19`th to Toronto Island. We started at Centre Island and began our normal circulation of the Islands...starting at the grandstand. We arrived at 9:15 am. We started throwing raps and spoons, and spinners...made our way to the big white bridge and Tangledline caught his first bass of the day...not too big but prommissing. Caught it on a worm and hook.

I was fishing the bridge on the other side and I caught my 1`st of the day.

We fished around towards the school...lotsa floating grass, and the water lvl was down 2 to 3 feet...we tried anyways getting out past the weed line and Boom tangledline gets a pike on and it goes deep...Tangledline tries his darndust to pull him through the weed of death and nothin doing, he loses him! and his brand new 4 inch rap blue and white in color. (Blue is deadly out there for pike). So we move on and make our way east towards the chuech and then keep moving past the yacht club and on to snake Island...fishing the whole way and gettin nothin. So we hit the bridge at snake Island and lotsa little guys, so I move onto the channle just east wear the harbor can be seen and start throwing the big ones for the pike, seeing as I caught one here the week before, and nothin, so I put on a worm and a hook...I get a small perch, so I try again and wouldn`t ya know it 3 bass come outta nowhere all from different directions and zero in on my worm...one of em grab it, and it`s a 4 lber for sure...he took only 6 feet from shore so, I was bringing him in, and the fat bastard rolled on a log just off shore and snapped my line...darn it all to pieces...then I got frustrated, couldn`t get back in for another 15 mins...so we moved on back west to make our way out...on the way I spotted 8 or 9 pike sunning on the bend near the church.

they were sweet looking Pike 3 to 4 feet in length, and another 6 or 7 carp were there as well...we threw some raps and other things at em, but they would just mosey on past, outta reach. so we packed it up and went home...all in all I got 2 bass 1 perch and Tangledline got 5 bass.

See ya again real soon.

I am learning to love the Island...I mean it`s 20 mins away by bus for me...and I catch fish there all the time...This is my 1st year fishing it and we are learning alot, but still havent hit everyspot available, and there are many...like when the marinas start to empty of there boats we might be able to sneek in there someplaces, but still lotsa work to do. Havent fished much in the innerharbor side yet...but maybe soon.

Ohhh we went, arrived at the Island at 8:45 and wouldn`t ya know it, it started raining....then it started pouring. We fished it though, we stayed all day got wet, then soaked to the bone then dried out, but chilled, and wouldn`t ya know it I caught a cold...2 days before I am suppose to go fishing up north for the weekend in the cold...hmmm I am still going no matter what. anyways, I caught my first catfish of the year...ugly mother. other than that, no pike action this day, but we caught lotsa perch and small bass...spotted some larger bass and pike, but they seemed very uninterested in anything that we showed them.
