Hey Guys,

Does anyone have some pointers on catching walleye in the late summer months where should I try and locate them and what techniques lures or lure colors are most effective. I will be heading up North to Gogama Ontario for 2 weeks vacation to do some fishing and would appreciate any tips from the seasoned walleye anglers.

ive caught a few eyes in late summer at scugog a few years back. i dont have any pics but the fish werent huge anyways maybe 2-3lbs. i was verticle jigging ..caught 2 that way i think one was on spinner bait and one on a wally diver. hope this helps

I catch my scugog late summer eyes jigging off bottom. I almost exclusively shore fish, so don't have much off-shore experience.

i heard that it is a good idea to put a piece of worm or a small minnow on your jig when going after Eyes I suppose the live bait factor helps. Has any one tried the Berkley leaches the ones that come in that pail with the fluid? I heard that these artificial baits are also good for Walleye?
