Hey everyone, I'm thinking of going up to Mountsberg since I've heard the bass and pike populations are hefty. Anybody know if there's any good shore fishing access anywhere? Thanks in advance!!

i've tried there once but only for a couple of hours and got skunked, there is good shore access but technically you're not allowed to be there (its CN property) so you might get asked to leave.

as for how good the shore fishing is, I have no idea, I know its heavily fished though

Binbrook Conservation Area south of Hamilton has plenty of shorefishing and tons of crappie etc

I have had more luck with Pike there than Bass, but I do see some lunkers on the shore dead sometimes. I agree with apz245, there is access to the train tracks which splits the reservoir but have had no luck.. Love the top water action along the weeds but don't head left! ...Cheers
