While on vacation in Florida I decided I was going to target sharks in the surf. It took 7 days of both day and night fishing, but I finally hooked up on Sunday morning. After a hour and forty minute battle fighting the fish, the tide, and some structure, I finally landed this healthy 6 foot sandbar shark. Check out the footage!

This looks amazing. Not only did you get an awesome fight, but that crowd around you was so excited.

Now, what kind of leader were you using that those teeth didn't rip right through it? Steel?

7 feet of 270lb cable, just as much of a concern as the teeth is the tail.

That was badass!

Did you have the gopro recording from the start to finish?

If so, darn u battery life!
I did and even had one of the people watching switch the batteries midway through. The reason o don't have the release is I have it to a person to film the release and they simply didn't do it. Moral of the story... If you want something done right do it yourself.
