musky trip location???

looking for a place to park a motorhome and boat for a musky trip next week.would like to be anyplace south of north bay or the ottawa area. any marinas that would let us park for a few days or a provincial park that has dockage on musky,walleye pike water would be great. thanks for any info.

I haven't gone for muskies, but Rice Lake has them, and has three Conservation areas along the lake. Usually we got to Serpent Mounds Park.

welcome, just some names off the bat..Georgian Bay. St Lawrence.. Kawarthas. Ottawa River.I know they hold them, but I have no clue how to Catch them..so good luck.

thanks for the welcome. we have been to rice lake and done ok. any spots to camp around the moon river area I hear there is some good numbers there, the problem we find is a place with camping and dockage.

I've camped in Massassauga Provincial Park, in the Moon River Basin. Sites are water access only, no docks, but you can ask for a site that would be suitable to beach your boat, I've done this before. Musky numbers in that area of the moon is thin, but when you do land one it's a hog as it's more than likely coming in off the bay for feeding. Good smallmouth fishing.

what a problem to have,wife says go fishing and i cant land an rv and dock site !!!

You could also give Balsam Lake PP at try; not sure about dockage or the rv but there are muskies and walleye to be had. Plus it's not a long haul. Hope everything works out for ya!

try emily park on pigon lake. A guy at work has pulled a few from there. I landed a litle one there back in the summer

we went to balsam lake last week and only 1 walleye lots of wind. prov park was perfect location thanks .fished 2 days then headed for ridoue drove 3+ hours and prov park was closed for season????? so we ended up at st lawrence 40 acre shoal also no musky so will try again next year.

try coming down to Lake St Clair, it is absolutely on fire with large musky. just this weekend a team fishing the MOMC tourny landed a 54"x26" 44 1/2lb brute
