My fav steelhead catch of 2015

Here's what happened prior to the fight. I was drifting a 8mm peach bead and I made a cast just to close to the wood pile. Float goes down and I'm snagged.., I tug a few times and I finally manage to get it out. On the end of my line is a berkley green worm and is hooked perfectly on my hook. I tell my buddy Jimmy to check it out and he told me to leave it on and drift...

On the third drift... float starts moving towards me!?!? FISH ON!!!!!

Nice sneak play..Pump.
Was lighting a smoke once with rod cradled across both arms. Egg barely touching the water. Bam. Steel grabbed it. Got the fish but lost my lighter.

There's one spot on an east trib that has a submerged tree full of ornaments...you would think why...i have lost s**tloads of beads & flies there...but would always go back if it's not always occupied. woodpiles & branches are always a great spot for trout.

Yea, I'm that guy who always gets snagged and spend most of my time retying.

It's always funny when you get snagged, break off, retie, few drifts, snag, tug a bit harder and voila.. your first setup and the new setup both come back to you... of course only to lose them both again. Love trees.

Its funny how much tackle we anglers loose on a daily outing. It really shows when you take a stroll in the summer time and the water levels are low. I call it summer shopping. From floats to flies , spinners and crankbaits. Nice video.

I have taken some of the lures I lost during fall & winter spring when water is clear & low and collect golf balls...

I collected a couple lures and spinners this winter when we had thick ice. Walked across and was able to collect them off hanging trees.
