Well done. Durham region has some good size carp. You should change your name now. You're not a fishingnoob. you will want more.
Thanks! Durham region is definitely a good one for carp! :D

People won't know who I am if I change my name. :p

Having the noob isn't about being a beginner for me anymore, it represents having the thirst to learn that a beginner has, something that I hope I have forever.

Congrats! thats a nice size for sure.

If you don't mind can you PM detials of where that was.

I hooked and landed a couple carp in port credit its like trying to pull a minivan outta the water.

Thanks. Sorry for taking so long to get back to you, I had to email my dad's friend for the location, like I said. We were fishing at Lynde Shores Conservation Area, please remember to stay to the designated fishing spots and clean up any garbage you see.

Noobs, I sense a name change for you after 2,000-odd posts and that beauty carp.... and nice pic! I did not know the Blue Man Group fish in their off days... :D

Great looking carp noob! I hear their fight is tremendous! Can't wait to try for my first this year :D
The fight is awesome, by far the strongest fish per pound in Ontario waters. I know your a fly guy, here's a link to a youtube channel with some carp flies: http://www.youtube.com/user/InTheRiffle?feature=watch

Wow that is a great catch for your first pig! Does not take too much to catch carp and you can find them all over. By far the best fight for me next to a smallmouth bass.

Thanks! It was a great fight! I have to agree with you about their fight in comparision to a smallie, quite possibly my two favourite fish to catch!
