I must admit it was a total accident. In my quest to perfect the Wallis cast I headed to creek to practise where I would fish and thought may as well through a fly on. I finally managed to get the cast down just need to work on distance but I think I have it. Well after about half an hour I'm lettingy line float down to get a tangle out, hadn't got cast down yet, and float slams down. Set the hook, couldn't believe it fish on. What a rush couple big jumps and runs and after s great struggle I put her on the rocks. One quick picture and she flopped back in and took off. Catching on the pin was different, you feel everything!!! Only one whacked knuckle....lol. I would post in other post but I can't figuire out how to post picture in a reply on my phone.

Congrats on losing the pin/steelie cherry!

How did you find the fight on the pin compared to a spin outfit - aside from feeling everything? Awesome?

It was pretty cool. I'm actually surprised I got it in. You can really feel them pull, love the IM8 Raven.

You're still experiencing post "steel-gasms" on pin...let it sink...you know you're going back out there with your pin.

Nice fish man, even if you didn't hook him entirely on purpose, you still brought it in and that's tough too.
