Hello there to all who read this report, i hope it is useful. Some of you (or *hopefully not* many of you) might know about Heart Lake Conservation area. Well. id just like to say that i went fishing there this past weekend on the saturday (Caribana Weekend), and had an awesome time. I was there with my parents and my gf, and she tried fishing for the first time in a long time Lol. I was on the eastern shore of the lake fishing in my chestwaders. My gf caught a sunfish that was bigger than my two sunfish, plus i caught a few nice rock bass and some largemouth bass, which were my main target for the day. For the day i was fishing worms under a bobber and there wasnt too much luck, except for the sunfish. The i decided to switch to a lure that i bought the morning of, a 6 inch Powerbait Rigworm by Berkley (also under a bobber). That's when the tides changed. At my spot (which is highlighted in yellow in the map) i caught what i would say was at least 4 largemouth bass and 6 or 7 rock bass. (pics attached, not of all the fish). later in the after noon i saw two cool asian dudes who caught two very big largies. I was a little sad to see the fish had died but i thought maybe they would eat them, or take them to a taxidermy studio. The fish were AT LEAST 4 pounds, which i would say isnt bad for a GTA Largemouth. I asked the dudes what they used, and they said they were fishing off a boat towards the western side of the lake, using wacky rigged senkos. My highlight of the day was what i deeply believe was a A VERY large bass. I sView attachment 7222aw my bobber sink and i instantly set the hook. My rod was bending by the pulls of the fish and i was just standing ther in awe. It even pulled some line, whihc hadnt really happend to me before with a bass. Unfortunately :'( the fish somehow spat the hook and swam away. I was very disappointed. I saw that one of the hooks on my rigworm had been bent out of shape, and was so lost in thinking how big this fish couldve been. sorry guysi didnt take a picture of this, and i do hope u take my word for it , because in fishing , theres just somethings u dont lie about. Hope this meets the reqs! And have fun out on the water everyone :D.
A few notes about the lake:
1.There is an entrance fee
2.There is an angling fee (together the two cost me about 12.50 but i was charged student fee
maybe for adults this would be about $15
3.The lake is situated at the corner of Heart Lake Road and Sandalwood Pkwy, just a left turn and a right turn from the sandalwood pkwy exit of hwy 410 in Brampton
4. I have caught catfishwith my friends, and theres supposed to be rainbows in the lake, though i have yet to see one. once i saw a kid catch a huge largie on a soft rat imitation.
5. The plac rents fishing boats with oars, and u can get one for 4hrs for 35$
6. the place has its own website, google it in case u choose to visit. it has more details than i can give.

PS. I didnt know there was only 3 pics allowed :D lol theres some more to show!

Thanks for the report. Yes there are rainbows in this lake. They are stocked rainbows, the bass are natural.

There are definitely 4 + pounders in there. I talked to one of the Heart Lake staff years back, and she told me how they did an electroshock survey of the lake to "see what was in there". She told me that there were bass over 6 pounds that were weighed. :D

Thank you and youre welcome :D

Anyone know if they allow inflatables there? I did some searching and found from a very old openfire post that no, they don't. I'm wondering if they changed up the policy.
