FisherGirl
Steel Bunny
I convinced my best friend to come with me. She slept over (the pillow fight was EPIC), went to bed at 2am, woke up at 5, left by 6, was at bass pro at 7 and on the water at 830.
Rented a hut from lucky sons out on the west side of cooks bay. Cost was $45pp. Staff was super friendly and accomodating. They deliver a large pizza to your hut for $20. BOMB. Our hut was on about 40ft of water (Im not sure if thats good....share your input) and the best bait was straight up minnow on a hook, wacky style. I picked up a bunch of jigs in a variety of colours and styles....nothing but minnows seemed to work.
It was my first time but I can proudly say that I did not shed a tear when baiting my first minnow! I kept apologizing to it at first, "sorry fishy, dont worry you're going to a better place..." but after the 2nd I was rippin through them like butter.
We caught upwards of 20 perch but none were keepers Still, we had a great time "roughing it". A lot of smoke was comin from our hut....and no one seemed to mind After all, we were just two lil girls fishin'!
