I am new to this Canada fishing experience. My long time hunting and fishing partner and I want to go to Ontario to fish Walleye. The choices are overwhelming. The all Canada show will be in my area starting the 12th of January. We plan on attending. We like the fly in idea. What advise can you give me on how to proceed? We expect to drive north from Chicago to western Ontario.

I'm assuming this all Canada show is a sportsman show.
Only you know your driving limits and airfare limits.
Stop and talk to all booths and collect their info on Canadian fishing areas .
There's literally thousands of opportunities. They'll gladly set you up on your personal requirements. And you don't have to travel ridiculously far North for walleye fishing.

The all Canada show is a sportsman show. We don't mind driving 750 miles plus or minus from Chicago.I know some camps fly you in from there. I don't want to pinch every penny because we won't be doing this every year and we want a really good experience. What's the best time of year for Walleye?

Jan March ice fishing.
May to Dec soft water.
Great walleye fishing in the States.
Why come to Canada.
Char specks grayling I could understand. Lol

Besides Lake Erie which we have done often where in the states would you recommend?

I'm a Canuck.
Don't know or want to know Yank walleye spots.
But I'm sure if you Google your 750 mile radius you'll find many States walleye fishing spots.

I know exactly why your so interested in Canada.
But I'll let you know right now.
All our lodges charge American dollars.
