I'm good at fishing
but not that handy, so tips and advice would be great. I need some advice on how I should install my down rigger?
I have the following boat:
outfitter-v150-t
I wish to install my scotty 1050 downrigger.
Currently I'm using the following mount:
Portable Clamp on Bracket
It's a portable bracket mount... I'm using 8lb weight so my first question is this... would this mount I'm using put stress on my gunnel walls and rivets as the weight bobs up and down because of boat movement and waves. Also to avoid this stress, could I mount this bracket on that back of my transom near the corner?
Also open for other options on how I could mount a rigger on my boat... I'd like to use the bracketmount, if you folk don't think it adds stress to the boat that could damage it.
Thanks
