I've used many of the lines metioned here and out of all of them I prefer the raven lines in 8lb. I like the high viz lines over low viz lines and i like the way raven line floats which is important in slow long runs or wind when you may need to lay some line on the water. The floating line can be mended or lifted off the water and repositioned to get a better drag free drift.. in faster water that it wont matter much... so far almost ever line I've tried twists to some degree especially if you side cast. Normally all you need to peel off once the line twists is the length of line you normally cast, beyond that point it's usually ok.. also with the raven line you get a lot of line for a great price verses comparible lines and the line is strong and reliable. I also find a small swivel conection at the top of your shot line and another micro swivel a couple feet above the float can prevent a lot of line twist..
Good luck guys, it's steelhead time...
