I generally dont prefer to shop here for tackle - its expensive and there is a good local shop about 25 minutes away but the other day I just popped in. I needed to get a rod that I could just beat up and one I can give my wife to fish with. Ended up getting a few things.

Really stoked about trying out the Mepps baits I got for musky fishing. Wanted something a little lighter to throw than some of the huge bucktails I have. After a few hours it gets tiring...Hoping they produce. Anyone use these or any of the other baits in the pic? The RipnRaps are some of my favorite baits.

Anyone use the jigs on the left at all? Ive never jigged with these and was wondering if anyone has had success with these fishing for walleye?

The bait below is an old antique topwater lure. A wooden, painted duck that just putt putts on the top of the water lol. The flask was a gift from the wife :)

I thought Blue Jays Junkie... ;)
I've had a decent luck with the red striped #5 mepps for pikes. Haven't caught a Muskie with it yet.

That flask might make a heck of a topwater. Your wife is a keeper for buying you that. Big mepps are really nice. Try a plastic on the treble. Makes the lure look longer. Muskie need big lures. I troll for muskie because i am old and cant cast big baits. I use hose baits. Local guy from keswick they work really good. Or dadson blades. He is another local guy. Good luck. Cheers.

putting a plastic on the end of that treble is a great idea to get more mileage from a (relatively) light casting bait. I got them specifically because after 5 or so hours of casting those big lures, Im busted. Im in decent shape too but its tough to do
