Hi there I`m the new guy I guess. I am mainly a kayak fisherman and avid ice fisherman. I`m a retired forces person so I have lots of time to fish (when she who must be obeyed) says OK.

Welcome Ron!! Glad to have you here. How do you find kayak fishing? It is something that has caught my eye the last little while on WFN and it's something I want to learn to do. I've tried kayaking once, and I FAILED!!! I couldn't keep my self upright, I do carry a spare tire with me though everywhere I go...Not a big one, maybe one for a smart car, but it's still a spare tire. But even that guy on Kayak Fishing has a spare tire as well, so I don't think that was my issue anyways haha.

Glad to have yeah here!! Enjoy these site, some really amazing members on OFF, lots of knowledge to be found here if you stick around long enough and share yours as well lol.

Hi Ron,

I am from Kingston and new to this board. Looks like a great place to be. I am also retired. I am looking for places to fish nearby as I haven't lived here long, I am short on places to go so far. I want go fish for channel cats right now because ice is out or coming out. I need to fish from shore so if you know where I could take a few cats, please share.

Good luck with that kayaking. I am canoe guy. A little nervous of kayaks at my age.
