morning, folks...

i'm john. been fishing ontario waters for some forty odd years... mostly spinning and baitcasting creeks and small lakes from shore, or, more commonly, canoe or kayak...

thought i should introduce myself to avoid appearing like a lurker...

Welcome! What do you fish for? I fish for bass mostly but try often for other species.

bass is my main game. :) huge surface lure fan, but crankbaits have done me well for a lot of years.

and pike, of course...

pleased to meet you, mr. fn...

gonna try the mouth of bronte tomorrow eve for early pike, methinks... as soon as i check regs...

i must say i am impressed by the effort you make to include folks, mr. fn...

You and me both, nothing more exciting then seeing the splash, then feeling the hit! Done very well on plugs, as well, but am slowly going to fish jigs more and more this upcoming season.

i think most folks would be more interested in a new female member from trois riviere... :p
:D We have a few females among us.

i've thinking of getting back into plastic worming this year...

i oddly moved away from it for the last few years, but i was shocked to find my fourteen year old new fishing partner has never learned to do it properly...

we also have a few that the jury is still out on....lol welcome sir...

Well ya John. You know any? :)
Welcome anyway, even with a male name like John.
I'm in the Hammer, just around the corner from Burlington and get out to Bronte quite a bit to fish Chrome and Browns. Maybe our paths will cross. I've also fished for 40 years and I'm also am no expert, but as long as I learn something new every day all is good. OFF is good for learning and sharing.
Bassing and surface lures are a lot of fun, I do a lot of that down the Grand way.
GL with the Pike at Bronte if the season is open, which I believe it is.

Alfie.

Welcome to OFF john. Looking forward to anything you can share. We always learn something new. Pike fishing is great right now.

I'd be happy to help. Just send me pm and I can give you some tips. I'm in no way a pro regarding fishing. I just base everything on what I see and experience.

Welcome! Sounds like you've got a lot of knowledge to share. Bassn from a canoe is my top choice for fishing as well. Looking forward to some good exchanges!
