New guy here! Any info for Penetanguishene area?

Hello all,

My best friend has moved his boat to a new marina at Penetanguishene this year. Since he's the one with the boat I'm expected to do all the fishing research. I was hoping a few anglers familiar with the area might have some advice for decent spots to fish in early May. We're hoping to keep the boat within 20km of the marina.

Any info would be much appreciated. Happy fishing.

You wont need to travel very far, there are crappie, perch, walleye, pike, bass and musky right in penetang bay and just out from the bay in the deeper water are salmon, whitefish and lakers. Musky need to be 54" or bigger to keep. Walleye has a slot size of 16 to 22" which need to go back. Check the regulations before you head out because that area is heavily patroled by OPP and CO's. make sure you have all you boaters safety gear and boaters card.
