New member from Sudbury area

Hello everyone,

New member here looking to share and learn about fishing. I'm a young guy (24)and fish from shore most of the time because I can't yet afford a boat. I live in the Sudbury area. Hope to get to know you guys!

Welcome! First thing you should do is pick up a copy of the regulations, most Canadian Tire stores will have them. They're available on-line at https://www.ontario.ca/document/2015-ontario-fishing-regulations-summary , but having a hard copy is easier to study, and you can take it anywhere. The info may seem a bit intimidating at first, but once you get into them a bit you'll find it easier. It's also less intimidating than having a Conservation Officer hand you a ticket, or worse!

And if you're in the Sudbury area, you've got bass fishing all year north of Highway 17. Try to not rub it in to us guys down here!
