Hi, I just joined the forum and it looks like there is a lot of great info here. I grew up fishing mainly for trout in Northern Ontario. My current species of choice is large mouth bass but I have been introduced to fall salmon this year and have to say I am totally "hooked". I've been fishing the mouth of the Humber River the past couple of weekends and have been having some great action. Anybody else fish the Humber?

Welcome! I've been to the mouth of the humber twice (last weekend and two weekends ago) and didn't catch anything. A bird flew into my line - that was the extent of my action. Another guy caught a carp.

Each time I went to the mouth, I went up to the marsh as well, but didn't catch anything. Something big stole my leader though.

Where have you been fishing at the humber?

yeah the humber got fish but the water level was SO LOW.... hopefully with the rain its going to be awesome.

Also if you go to the bend of the river you can fish for carp. next year im going to bust out my inflatable with a trolling motor and try fishing further south for bass and pike supposively.

I have a 15 ft jon boat and have been fishing further out into the lake at the mouth. Caught some nice chinooks. I've seen lots of guys fishing from the rocks on the west and east sides of the mouth. Saw some shore anglers catch some nice salmon as well.

I've never caught anything further up the Humber, except for a channel cat that I fowl hooked in the back. I have heard that there are pike and bass in there, but have never seen any.
