Got it while trolling. Had an audience too. Three canoeists behind me when it hit and they stopped to watch the show. Took about 30 seconds to land.

Must be the Raptors hat because my previous PB from two years ago was also caught while wearing a different Raps hat. I have two Raps toques as well. I might just put them on next time and look like a douche nozzle wearing them in middle of summer.

Anyway, posted pics of hammer handles caught since opener too.

Hey, don't give up :) I've seen a few unexpectly large fish come from unexpected areas the last couple years.
Including an OOS 6.18 lb Smallie, 3 years ago that a CO stopped me from releasing as quickly as I would have liked. He weighed, measured it and took scale samples saying it was the biggest he had seen in his 15 years worrking the area. And I didn't even get a pic :(
A friend got a 36" walleye, guessing 8 lbs or so in an area I fish regularly and have never seen anything bigger than 2 or 3 lbs. Last year on a day fishing was very slow.

Alfie.

Dude...good stuff. And If it has an outlet to Lake O. There are bigger pikes. just keep at it.

now that i have been living close to the big lake for the past 1.5 years, i will continue to explore the tribs in search of THE BIG ONE.
