Was at work today and was driving along Shepherd Ave around Warden and as I am in front of Agincourt Autohaus, I look to the strip plaza to my left where my favourite picture framing place used to be, and I notice this new tackle shop called AJ tackle, I believe.

Anyone ever been there before, whats it like?

I am definately going by tomorrow to check it out.

Thanks,

Dirk.....

Can you let me know if they carry St. Croix rods?

Went by this place earlier on my lunch and I was wrong about the name. It's called PRO J Fishing Tackle.

The guy says they have been open for almost a year. I'm not a rubber necker so that's probably why I never noticed it before until yesterday.

The guy I was talking to looks familiar, I believe I have seen him in Lucky Tackle before so maybe it's the same owner or the just know each other.

As for the store, it was a mess, boxes everywhere, most of their inventory is gone due to the fact that they are down at the Sportsman Show which started today. Looks like they have a good selection of stuff though.

They do sell live bait. There biggest selection of stuff was the rods. Not sure if they are taking any of them down to the show but everything that was boxed up is probably going there.

@Jose....yes they have quite a selection of St. Croix rods.......

Glad I found this place. Another store to look around and spend money in.

Thanks for the report, that was fast.
What do you do for a living? FISH??? LOL

I heard there were a number of fishing stores popping up all over the Markham area also. Too bad I live in the west end. Before there were only a handful of tackle stores.

Now to check out some of their prices on St. Croix rods. :x

I own my own business. So when I am not at work, im usually fishing somewhere. So you could say, part time owner/worker, full time fisherman, or vice versa depending on numerous factors.

Thank god for iPhones. Can email and do everything on the go.

Dirk.....

So it is very similar in terms of layout to Lucky then.
Probably same owner or partners like you mentioned.

diggyj... what kind of business is it you run?

That would definately be a sweet career setup.

Wanted to check this place out today, but when I got there after an hour of piking at 6pm, they were closed

They probably were at the show. Not sure if they remain open during it, you may want to call them first before heading there again. Take a look at the pic for the phone number.

BTW....any luck with the toothy critters????

Dirk.

Yeah, will do that next time.

No luck at all. I thought I saw a follow, but it could just be the glare of the setting sun playing tricks on me. Didn't have my polarized glasses with me as I was wearing my actual glasses yesterday.
