New to the forum, fishing for years

Hi, I'm fairly young but have been fishing for years. Acton was fairly good to me 6-7 years ago with pike with minow bait only though. Its not as good anymore, unless you enjoy catching catfish. Recently, I have been going up to little lake in Barrie and had luck catching lots of pike with live bait but no bass. Although, I have read that lake is full of bass too. Any tips or hot spots would be appreciated. Any other small lake with consistent fishing withing 1-2 hour drive from Mississauga.
