Hi All,

I'm pretty new to fly fishing but I'm having a blast and don't know why I didn't start earlier, I'm so addicted that somehow I ended up with a 4wt,5wt,6wt and 8wt rods and reels.

Here's some pics of some little rainbows I caught.

Need to really work on my casting but it's getting better.

Damn apparently that is my problem. I started with casting lessons and should have started with buying more rods.

Nice looking catches Gary.

Took today off and decided to stay local again. Ran into a few peeps that were interested in seeing if salmon. I was just out there enjoying the cool weather :p

Anyways caught these guys on an assortment of stuff.. mostly used some black/copper nymphs (until I lost them to some trees!)

Also had a hook on some bigger fish twice.. maybe they were salmon but not sure since I wasn't close to landing them, they had some crazy fight to them. First one took my nymph and after a min it broke off my poorly tied surgeons knot. Second one hit my wooly bugger and I really thought I was going to land this one but it threw my hook after a few runs.

Sorry for the poor pics .. I had my phone in a ziplock bag.

Yeah I'm just getting into it as well. Well back into it. Did it a little bit a few years ago with a friend but recently just only started to fly fish. My spinning gear is collecting dust now lol.

It's amazing how much more fun it is then using a spinning rod or bait caster. Added benefit is as well don't have to carry around a big ass box with lures. Just a little case with 40-50 flies haha clippers and forceps or pliers. Oh and spare leader line.

Don't think I'll be going back to spinning anytime soon unless I'm fishing a big big lake and the fish are deep down.

Even if your not spey casting many of the techniques can be applied to single hand casting !! Im sure you will learn a lot of helpful tips

Wtf is up with this iPhone or tap talk app !!! It's only showing the quote not the post I wrote and double posting on another topic
