Newbiew from Horseshoe Valley

Hi all -

Just wanted to introduce myself. I grew up in the Midland/Penetanguishene area, fishing in Severn Sound (southeast Georgian Bay). I've just moved back to Ontario after living out west for a few years and I work as a biologist up in Muskoka. I learned to fly fish out in the Kootenay and Columbia rivers in southeast BC, so now I'm hoping to develop my fly fishing skills here in Ontario. This forum looks like a great resource with some very knowledgeable people - hope to meet some of you out on the water!

Horseshoe Valley eh? My in-laws have a place there. Have you tried fishing the pond off Ingram Road, WNW of the resort and just south of the 400? A bit of a walk from the hiking trail parking lot, but it might be productive and I doubt it gets any pressure.
