Hi everybody criley here and a newbie, I have twin 20yr old boys who are fishing nuts and can always use info as to where to go. heading to Shining Tree in mid june and any tips from people who have fished there would be greatly appreciated. Thk in advance

Jealous - Shining Tree is legendary where I'm from (Temiskaming). I haven't been quite to Shining Tree, but I've been just east of there on canoe trips (West Montreal River chain including Obushkong, Crotch Lake, etc.) and the bass and pike are ridiculous. Mid-June should be right during the spawn for the smallies and they'll be very territorial, but unfortunately I don't think there's a closed season in that area.

Walleye - worm harnesses/go-getters (chartreuse always seems to be good in that tea-stained water)
Pike/Bass - any spoons (ie silver or gold Williams Wabler)/jerkbaits (ie husky jerks or X-Raps)/spinnerbaits - you can't really go wrong

Post pictures after your trip!
