Salmo, in the 80's and 90's there was a large "laker run" into the Whirlpool in mid/late July/early August.... it still happens on a smaller scale I am told. I spoke once to a biologist who theorized that at over 120 feet deep, the "pool" and main channel likely holds a year-round population of Lakers. Why in mid summer you can see them "rolling" on the surface and caught on 1/4 oz twisters and spinners, well..... who knowssalmotrutta said:Nice, that second one is a fatso.
