No worries Mook, it happens to all of us. Personally when I land fish in the river I always try to keep them in the water and the mud doesnt get on them. Sounds like you had a more difficult situation there.

In the future its best to say we forgot our camera at home rather than put a muddy picture up on the forum lol.

i dont like the dirt on the fish either, but its too tough asking the guy to post pic then bash him for it. having said that if your releasing fish do everything you can while handling them to ensure their survival. many fish i hook up on i just push my gear to the limit and end up breaking them off.
