Nine Mile River / Port Albert Fishing

Hey everyone,

Casual fisher here who's going to be visiting the area in Port Albert and the Nine Mile River around the 8th or 9th of July. Never fished in this area before so I'm wondering if anyone has some tips on what I could be catching and where I should be catching it. I'll have my proper documentation for the day of and I'm looking to keep a couple for dinner.

If you fish off the beach real early in the morning you may catch perch or bass. The Maitland River is close and has piers you can fish from.
