Went out yesterday for a couple of hours, came home with one nice walleye just under the slot a jumbo perch and two decent white fish that I released. Had one line break and another break my hook off the jig head (never seen that before) not to mention numerous misses.
Was out again today more to work on freeing the shack from the ice and put it on blocks. Once the shack was free the 4 of us still managed to walk off the ice with our limit in Walleye.
Tomorrow is a new day and we'll see if Lake Nipissing is willing to bless us again with active lines.
If anyone is planning on heading up this way, the fishing is the best it's been in many many years!!
Are you from the North Bay area? Don't forget Trout lake, I know some killer spots there for pike. I am willing to share my spots if you share some pics to the board. I could also give you the best spot for panfish I have ever seen..... come to think of it, you could fish for pike on the outskirts of the panfish hole and do really well
I live in Kitchener, but grew up in North Bay. I have never had much luck on Trout Lake, most of my fishing is done on Nipissing.
I'm heading back on the ice shortly. There has been something big in the area I'm fishing. Had I've had it on a couple of times and it's broken me off each time. Maybe today is the day it comes up that hole!
