Hi all.
First off I am genuinely pleased to have found such a forum. No doubt filled with local knowledge.
I moved to Barrie from the south of England last summer, and have just got around to dusting off my mountain of fishing gear that I brought with me. 39 in a few weeks, I have been fishing since I knee high. Not that age is important, of course, but 30+ years of fishing background you'd think I knew what I was doing. That goes for fishing in England ... Not so much here.
Over the last 20 years 90% of my fishing has been for carp, and fairly successfully so at that. Back to basics for me, though, and speaking with local anglers about carp has thrown many a blank stare
Anyway, I look forward to this spring to autumn fishing for carp, bass, walleye and what ever else I can throw a bait at. I'll start my quest on that small bit of water known as Lake Simcoe. 287 sq miles of water! Interesting.
