Noobs "Camping" at Opener

Thats an idea too but I was thinking about holding down a spot until sun rise. Maybe even start fishing at midnight....?

What are your plans for that weekend?

This will be my first opener so im not sure what to expect.

I'm not a fan of crowds but I believe my buddies will be heading east.

I will hit the water at 3:30 am that is my usual time when I go out, fish until 7:30 am , back to the cottage have a nice big hot breakfast then back out for the day.

That sounds like a perfect morning! I hope to do that daily when I'm retired at 50.

Please go easy on a noob here lol, but what opener are you guys talking about? I live in zone 16, 4th Saturday in April is Rainbow and Brown trout.... is that the one? I only caught one rainbow last year, but that was at a stocked conservation pond, I'm so excited about this warm weather and can't wait to get out there and catch ANYTHING!

I know an east trib allows camping in some of it's parks trout opener, might just try that.

i won't be camping for opener, working saturday, i will go out saturday night for a quick fish at one of my spots and then go home for dinner and get ready for sunday, just show up at 530am on the sunday, if i can fish my usual spot this year, we'll be fishing til about 1030 and have a massive breakfast on the bank, and then fish the rest of the day, i know certain area will be packed with campers, saw about 200 there last year
