The Soo is great - not THAT far and plenty of amazing fishing opportunities around. Got a boat? Lots of time off? Do the Nipigon River near Thunder Bay in late August

I go North of Sudbury, on the 144 from Sudbury to Timmins there are 100s of lake just off the Highway, may with gravel parking lots and boat launchs, there is good fishing for the trouts, pike and walleye in most lakes, and most of the area is bass open all year, I guess the bass are alll over up there and the MNR wants then thined out. There is also alot of rivers and streams. Google it up and look.

I am heading up July 9th to July 14th for a camping trip, just outside of Cartier, On the 144

Can't really go wrong in the Martin River to Temagami area. Just my couple of cents.
I am a big fan of the St Marys in the Soo too.
Course my dream spot is Nipigon. World record Speck.
When u say north Ont u are talking about such a large area. Name any town and you can povably find decent fishing nearby.

Alfie.

Very true Alfiegee, Most anywhere North of Sudbury/Norhtbay Line you get FAR less fishing pressure, thus WAY better fishing. Nip River is a dream fishing spot to go thou, I hope to go one day as well
