Anyone have 1 they'd like to part with?? Rod or combo, interested in either.

What exactly is a nymph rod? I have a glass fly rod sitting at home I'm having thoughts of selling. although I did have a TFO reel on it's way just so it's paired for when I have to bring 2 rods.

Sry, should have said, "czech nymphing rod". Czech Nymph rod is long and light, soft tip, usually 10ft or more. Looking for 3 or 4wt.

thanks for clearing that up. No dice. I'm currently using a 9'6" 4wt for nymphing. the length I'm ok with, I'm looking to order a Fenwick AETOS for swinging.

Dilli, I own a Fenwick 4 weight Aetos 10 Footer it is a great rod for nymphs, well worth the $200.00 I spent on it.

Tombo would highly recommend this rod if you are buying new, great rod for the price.

. Would you say its light enough for a long outing of highsticking? Provided you balance it with the correct weight reel?

I have no issues at all for a days outing ( 6 + hrs ) with this rod. Also I might mention that recently I also have been using a 12foot 6:4 tenkara rod for nymphing with great success.(but that is something completely different).

Yes, Im familiar with Tenkara. It works well by the looks of what Ive seen, but dont want to give up the ability to throw dries if the right conditions present themselves while Im out nymphing. I think I will try to find some weight specs for the Aetos.

Tombo, the one thing Tenkara excels at is dries, but also effective for nymphs. The presentation of dries on Tenkara is to simply put it perfect. But i think you would be very happy with the Aetos ( check out some reviews you will be surprised at how it performs compared to rods 3 times or more then there price! ).

Thanx very much for the input CF. Now I just need to find where I can feel 1. The search is on!

Bought a echo shadow. 10ft 3wt. Out for 1st time sun, a dream to fish! Very light and sensitive. Could not find a Aetos 3wt 10ft to put my hands on anywhere in ontario.

keiryu fishing is more suited for live bait as well as nymphs(due to the weight used in such rigs), tenkara and seiryu is more meant for dry flies and unweighted flies. i have a few keiryu rods(daiwa kiyose)

that i can cast a dry fly with as well. basically the best rods come from daiwa or nissin(commercially)
