first time i ever got to see one up and close what a fish. me loosing mine will haunt me for a long time. u dont get to many chances hooking one up.

Nice Atlantic , we were fishing on a crowded river too on Saturday , hmmmm. Didn't get the memo on meeting spots , oh well , we went south and had a descent day but with only one of us managing to land a Chinook because the freaking things were crazy maniacs that spit , snapped and burned the skin off fingers with screaming runs . And Trini , we all caught many chubs as well , a fish is a fish .
Anyway , our hero of the day was Nado a.k.a. Eric , who landed a very dark hen ( he thought it was a log ) she was tired I guess or just lazy .
We measured her with the girth x girth x length divided by 800 = 22.99 lbs. ( 38 inches long )
There were plenty of fresh Chinook arriving with rooster tails up from the rapids into the pools , the sun was hot and the day was long and the walk was longer back to the park.
The MNR boys were on the river asking anglers questions , how many kms did you drive to get here , etc. , nice guys with alot of info if you ask .

Looks like OFF was a big contributor to the crowds on that river Saturday haha. Float I feel as though we ran into you at some point on the river that day, this thread is the first time ive seen a pic of ur face and it looks awfully familiar.

No doubt that that old dark chinny was flossay lol. I was just reeling in my line at the end of a long drift and all of a sudden there was some weight on my line moving towards me….a log for sure I thought to myself…then I see the three guys im fishing with laughing their heads off, “you’ve got a fish on” they all start yelling. I thought they were pulling my leg and making fun of the log I had on (slow days of fishing can do funny things to people) low and behold it got closer and it turns out they were right as I started to see the silhouette of the dark-shark like figure becoming visible. Never ever have I had such a lazy chinny, I didn’t think it was going to live but after a few short minutes she finally swam away. Better than nothing I guess right? lol

here is a treat from today not mine but my Buddie's. I had one as well but couldn't hang on

That was one beautiful fish.. Hope you don't have to many nightmares.. lol

Ok I will admit that Float^Drifter laid a proper smack down on the rest of us guys on attendance on Saturday outing. I mean this dude was on fire and it did not matter which rock he was on…even the rock that god hates…:rolleyes:lol As for the chubs, the MNR hired me to count the number of chub in the system and transport them to the lift. … hahahahahaha…

No but really, great day out and would love a repeat at a later date maybe when the bows start running…On Sunday however my luck changed, went to an eastern trib and it was my turn… Hooked a good number of fresh chinnies including this beauty hen.. Sorry guys did not slit her trout she was just too beautiful and gave a really good account for herself.. Future off springs will be a welcome fight in the making…… and the second is from last thursday031.JPG

There's a good number of coho running this year. Saw a nice 10 lb ish hen that was pretty darn fresh being landed when I was fishing with Trini and lost my own silver bullet just before that. Crossed the coho off my list this week too. Agressive little buggers when theyre fresh, awesome jumps. Love th KP CJR, still enjoying the Aventa I got from you. Its about a 100 steelies more used though, hahaha :)

Congrats on the Ho', they put up a hell of a fight.

Thanks, the KP is a real work horse. I'm happy you're still enjoying the aventa, that's the reel that started it all haha. Landed my personal best chrome with it by far.

I was able to dig up some fish porn from last fall, all landed with that reel. Seriously Can't wait till the bows are in, getting sick of the boots lol.

Looking back at these pics is a reminder of what's soon to come

F^D do you have a Russian accent?

I think I may have fished with you at Willy last fall. Those pics remind me of a super stealthy drifter who got 4 steelies in a short period of time on a pretty slow morning.
