Does anyone know where I can buy these? We have tried calling a combined 10+ stores and nobody has these. Also looking for shiner minnows as well, pinheads and 2-3"ers.

One store told me they aren't carrying this type of bait yet because they don't want to encourage anglers to go on the ice. Well...newsflash, if you drive far enough north you will find ice! Not to mention the maggots can be used for steelhead.

Doesn't Berkelys have rubber maggots in the little gulp jars? Or are the wax and rubber totally different?

Have you tried phoning any pet stores for maggots? Ive grabbed some meal worms from pet store before.

those arent as good as the real ting, i use them when i cant get real ones and have nowhere near the same success. nado i think fishing world in hamilton has all we need ima call them right now

maggot part is easy, all you need is a few house flies and small piece of meat. i am sure you might be able to capture a few down at a dumpster/near a resuturant somewhere in this weather.

oh about the minnows. in toronto on Sheppard ave east, 3 stores carry minnows, you have to call to find out the sizes though, english might be a bit of barrier with lucky fishing. AV fishing and pro j all sell live bait.

nice looks like we have the pinheads covered, leave it to the redneck.

I have those but they are completely different. The smell of a maggot is like none other lol.

the thing is you need those crazy monster flies otherwise you will get tiny maggots.

I will second the pet stores ( pet smart, etc..etc.. for maggots ).
maggots or meal worms? I've never seen maggots at pet stores before.

i heard, don't quote me, but there is a pretty good live bait store near bp in vaughn. not sure what their name is.

option B as people said pet stores, they feed lizards with those.

option C get small box is that is indestructible by raccoons. cut pencil shape hole in it. put it near dumpster, shove some sort of meat in it, and hope you catch deer flies.

klik i called that store the other day ( true canadian outdoors) they said its not cold enough for waxxies and maggots yet, what a load of BS. when your that close to the biggest tackle shop in canada you'd think he would step his game up lol

thanks for bringing this up! My mom is a scientist and uses waxxies for some experiments and stuff I need to put an order in. FO FREE.

taking orders? i'll pay i'll pay, set me up for 100!

have you ever tried gambler mummy worms

i bought them, but haven't used em. they are specially preserved maggots and come in many colours

Pet shops that cater to reptailes will have wax worms, super worms, etc. I have always gone to the Menagerie pet shop in cabbage town. They always had a lot of wax worms. I used to buy them for my leopard gecko. Just a second resource that will have these if not at a bait store.
