went fishing from 10am until 4pm dec31 at ashbridges bay
happy to get out...weather was wet but sure warmer
combo of ice and open water
thought because of the sewage plant the water temp would be warmer
hoping for a foraging brown trout or hungry pike
lots of birds were fishing too
no fish for me
but i sure had a good time trying out my new reel ...a daiwa whisker tournament series ss 1600
super smooth drag...incredible sensitivity 8)
it is a old model that is still made by daiwa...20 years and still being made relatively the same.
ya don't mess with a good thing...
kearney and i did the bass pro shop shopping spree on dec 27
yes sir we was kids on christmas morning...wide eyed and all smiles
heh how come they told us to stop fishing the tank at bass pro ??????
back to dec 31
i was also trying a couple dozen lures...snaps...swivels...new line and leader...
i can tell you it was a terrific day ...the fish missed out 8)
if you get the itch to fish...get out there...
