The Ontario Bass opener is fast approaching, and in speaking with a couple other of the tackle manufacturers we have decided to have a Fun little online Bass fishing Contest with a few Prizes.

This contest will be held on Saturday June 26th 2010 (the opening day of the bass season). The contest starts at 12:01 AM and concludes 11:59 PM. It is open to all anglers as long as you are following the Ontario Regulations for your specific zone. We will be judging this based on total length of 5 fish (not weight). There is also a Big Fish category as well, the biggest of your catch will be entered. You will need to have a digital camera and a tape measure. When a fish is caught, you place the fish on a flat surface on the tape measure and take a clear straight picture of the fish. You are then free to release the fish. At the end of the day you can Email the pics to [email protected] They will be forwarded to the judging panel to review. We will allow you until 12:00 PM (noon) on Sunday June 27th to submit your pictures. Anything after 12:00 PM (as shown on the submitted email) will be excluded from the contest. ***Note- If you are entering Photo's for multiple family members, Please send one email per entrant and include their name in the subject***

So far we have secured Prizes from Bass Haven, CL Fishin, Nitro Lures, Angler's Choice and Strictly Fishing . We are still deciding on the prize layout and will post the prizes as soon as we can.

We are going to be adding a kids 12 and under category to this contest as well. This will be a Big Fish contest. So get your kids out there and enjoy the day catching some fish. So far we have a LARGE assortment of crank baits (Rebel, Cotton Cordel, Heddon, Smithwick, Bomber etc.) for the kids prizes courtesy of Dennis and Cathy @ Bass Haven. More prizes will be added soon.

Laurie also pulled through with a few Dixie Tackle shirts and a Flambeau 2061 Hainging Bait Bag. some key features
• Multi-directional hanging system easily accommodates over 64 lures • Unique two-level rack offers storage for extra long baits • Large side pockets with hook-and-loop closure • Large front storage pocket and 4 secure tool holders

This thing is big and retails for over $100.00

As well, we have a large assortment of crank baits from Dennis and Cathy at Bass Haven.

Thanks guys, Ive still got a few more prizes to list and get pics for. as far as signing up, It is absolutely FREE!, all you have to do is email me your pics on the 26th and until noon on the 27th. we will go through them and determine the winners. Remember as well to take a kid fishing as we have a bunch of killer prizes for the kids!

That Knife is 100% custom made about an hour away from me. and features a hand carved water buffalo handle.

Bass only. Largemouth or Smallmouth. and you can fish where ever you want in ontario, as long as you are legal. I hope to see some good pics.

one question why is the deadline on 27 noon? lots of people will be fishing on sunday as well, maybe you can push it to midnight? just an idea...

so people have less of a chance of sending pics from the sunday just to win a few prizes. the way i see it, it doesnt really take that long to email a few pics (never has for me anyway) and most will send them sat night.

i guess those who got stuck in the cottage for the weekend are out of luck then..

This is a FUN little contest. If you are going to be out at a cottage with no net access, email me your pics anyway (late) and see what happens, you may just get rewarded anyway
