Notice: No Esox Pickerel are Listed
Only, Esox Muskie & Esox Pike
Pickerels are extremely rare in Ontario !

"Sander vitreous" Walleyes are wrongly referred to as Pickeral
Unfortunately Ontario is the only place on earth that wrongly calls
Yellow Walleye, Pickerel, or Blue Walleye, Blue Pike

Refer to my post.
Real Pickerel, No Confusion !

Your reading the chart wrong.
Follow the lines, Pike are 20 deg.
Easy mistake !

OK, You got me.
What kind of lures do you catch these with ?
Let me guess,
A Fork, Knife & Spoon Lure.
Lightly salted for attraction.

Getting too technical sometimes doesn't pay off. Get your lure in the water , think outside the box and keep on casting and retrieving or cast and jig. When in doubt live bait works wonders too.

I couldn't agree more,
Lines out of the water, Don't catch fish !

However, Knowing what's happening down there can be the difference between
Fishing & Catching.

What the water temp & where the thermal layers are makes a world of difference,
Especially deeper water Off Shore !
