Open water

Has anyone been out east Today? Just think I may give it a shot tomorrow morning if the water is open.

Friday they were but there should be some open water now with the highs we've had since Friday but this could be the last day as next week is COLD!

Hi, just an update on this morning. I went to Duffin's at around 5 am and it was wide open and washed out. Kept going east and checked out the mouth at wilmot. Just the mouth area was open, and managed to push off about 20 feet more of ice into the lake. The wind was blowing in too hard so couldn't get a drift. Water started off pretty clear at first light but got worst by the minute.

Then went to my favorite spot thinking it may have been iced over but it was wide open. Fished for an hour. Went 1 for 2. My hands were bout to fall off so had to pack it in.

Looks like it may stay open for at least 2 more days, probablly freeze over tuesday night.
