So looking at some "cheaper" fly line for a spare setup when friends come out with me ( it is a 6 weight set up ). So my local shop has Rio Mainstream Trout WF/F, and Scientific Angler Headstart WF/F both are on sale right now for 29.99 ( rio ) and 32.99 ( SA ). Any one have any feedback on their of these lines or which one would you all suggest.

Thanks any quick feed back would be appreciated sale ends tomorrow .Have read on line reviews both get pretty good reviews but want some opinions from you guys.

I don't have experience with either line you mentioned, however I would say you should never cheap out on line even for a spare setup it's the most important part of your setup. That said if you want to go with one of those try doing a little looking online for reviews. Keep in mind that these are both heavier weight forward lines, meant for streamer or indicator fishing, if you're looking for something a little more delicate for dries, wets or nymphing I'd look at one of the cortland lines, perhaps the 333 trout?
