Eagle Canyon next door has the longest zip line in Canada...There are lots of canyons in canyon country the Nipigon Escarpment is full of ups and downs making it very difficult to traverse...So a light canoe helps on the portage! :idea:
Dan picked this Wenonah Minnesota II 18ft 40lb kevlar in the pic with his son recently in Minnesota many canoe outfitters sell off their used stock and you can pick up a used canoe fairly cheaply in the fall he picked this one up for $500.00....I met another fellow that picked up a used Souris River 16ft kevlar for $300.00 from Quetico Outfitters in Atikokan from what I hear Souris River Quetico is quickly becoming the favourite in the Boundary Waters & Quetico Park..
Dan's racing hull is a great fit for smaller lakes like these where big waves aren't a big issue it is very light and fast..
