Anyone have a freshwater aquarium?

I've been looking around at getting a tank going that would be fun for my son... And myself!

Seems like cichlids are one of the most interesting freshwater fish, without venturing into a marine saltwater setup.

I always had tanks growing up, I had cichlids in the past, but never thought much of it... They would populate like rabbits and kill each other. Pretty territorial.

Anyone have any light to shed?

I'm like you. I kept aquariums as a kid not anymore though, I still have the leaky tank... I would recommend getting an acrylic tank, glass tanks make you nauseous when you look in them.

I have and have had a hedgehog, frogs, toads, lots of fish, various insects ,snails (both aquatic and garden), mice, hamsters and briefly, a gerbil.

That was hilarious. I had to watch twice, once for the video and once to read the sub-titles. I have some friends with Pugs. I'll be sending this link to them for sure.
The moral to the story is so true when it comes to dogs.

Hey Dirk. Bear is a beautiful puppy dog I love Shepherds.
I had one named Razor, Razor Blade for long from the time he was 4 weeks old until he ran in front of a car at age 13.
Shepherds are so smart and just want to learn more. My now deceased wife broke her ankle at one time and was on crutches. Every time she had to go upstairs Razor was there with his nose up her butt making sure she wouldn't fall.
For 13 years he went everywhere with me. And I could tell you so many stories. Not sure this forum has enough gigabytes for it all :lol:

Thanks Noob. They both passed a while ago. The wife 7 years ago and Razor 6 years ago. I'm moving on :smile:
